    Preheat your oven to 350°F.

    In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour , salt , baking soda , baking powder , and sugar .

    Add the neutral oil (such as grapeseed or avocado) , lightly beaten eggs , buttermilk plus 2 tablespoons, and vanilla extract . Stir until just combined.

    Coat two 6-inch cake pans (or one 9-inch pan) with nonstick spray or butter. For best results, line the bottoms with parchment paper. Pour the batter evenly into the pans.
